New Heating, New Bathroom

Published by admin on

Job Request: Removal of electric immersion heater. Install full gas central heating with combi boiler. Removal of bath and installation of shower tray/cubicle and bidet. Upgrade of gas fire.

New Installation: A brand new full heating system comprising of five radiators, four of which controlled by thermostatic radiator valves has been installed, with new hot and cold pipework to the bathroom. The boiler, a Glowworm Energy 25C with a vertical flue through the roof from the bedroom cupboard provides the hot water and heating, controlled by a Salus Rt510RF programmable wireless room thermostat. It was decided that due to the humble size of the property that the existing gas fire be removed and not replaced with a new model.

A new bathroom was installed after the existing one was ripped out, including five layers of bathroom tiles on one wall! A false wall to hide all the waste and water pipe work was built and later tiled. The new bathroom consists of a low level shower tray with a thermostatic mixer shower (incorporating a drencher) a bidet, a WC and a customer supplied basin and draw unit. Pictures of the semi-finished bathroom can be seen in the gallery, the customer will be completing the decorating and floor covering.

What a star!! We’re delighted with our wonderful new central heating system and swish new bathroom. Steve has been a real treasure and went the extra mile for us completing the work while we were away to save us hassle, cleaning up as he went and putting pipes where they’d be least noticed. What more can we say? Ten out of Ten! Thank you Steve you’ve been a pleasure to work with.
